Birthday Camping

Because mine and Mike's birthday are just one day apart we try to get both days off and do something together. This year we went camping to Measow Lake and had a fabulous time. Here are some pictures to show how much fun we had.

THE VERDICT IS IN

So we went to have the ultra sound this morning. The tech was really nice and did a great job.
She told us what ever picture was of. The baby is growing nicely. The due date has changed to Nov 25th, which is thanksgiving this year. The Tech looked 3 or 4 times and is definately sure that we are having a girl. Yep another girl. We are gonna have drama city at our house. I hope she has more of Clara's temperment, than Carlie's. Carlie is way more emotionally and intense. We are way exited and daddy loves his girls. We just have to try and find a name cause we haven't picked on out yet. We have one for a boy, that will just have to wait til later.

Well I am sorry that it has been forever since I have written. As most of you can tell I don't like to Blog. I just don't know what to say most of the time or I just don't have the time to say it. Just to catch you up. My pregnancy is doing great. I felt the baby kick for the first time last night and am so excited. It is starting to feel real to me. My belly is definately poking out there. The girls are non stop talkers especially in Sacrament meeting. They like to point out who is there and what their name is. And Carlie likes to add after being asked to be quiet, " I not want to be quiet, I want to talk". Mike is busy trying to finish up this semester of school, just a few more weeks, then a break until January. We have gone camping once this summer so far, but are planning another trip this weekend. Well I hope this has brought you up to speed cause I am not sure when I will post again.

THE BIG NEWS

So we found out today that we are having 1 baby. We are very excited to not only be having a baby but to be having just 1. The girls are so excited. They pat my belly and say hi to the baby all the time. They are so cute. They keep saying that it is a boy. We will have to wait and see. Anyways we are just so grateful to our Heavenly Father for all of the many blessings that we receive constantly.

SWIMMING LESSONS

So I signed up the girls for swim lessons this April and they love it. It is called Shrimp classes. Because the girls are under 3 years old, it is a class for parents and kids. It helps and teaches us and them the basics like kicking, laying on their backs, blowing bubbles, and going under the water. I am so proud of my girls, they absolutely love the water and are doing so good with their teacher. We go twice a week for 30 minutes for 4 weeks. The first week we were taught how to get them to jump in the water to us and how to support their head so they will trust us to lay on their backs. They have since had life jackets on and blown bubbles with their mouth and just last night they let us dunk their heads under the water 3 times. I was so proud of them. They cry when we have to get out. Daddy has been able to come to all of the classes except the first, which Grandma Hancock filled in (What would I do without my mother). Anyways again I am so proud of my big girls and how cute they are when they play in the water.

The girls were so excited to color their eggs. Here they are getting ready to color their own individual eggs. They had their name on their own egg. They are so funny about doing stuff. I have to remember to only tell them things that we are gonna do minutes before we do them or they will talk about it all day and night until we do it. I made the mistake of telling them about the egg coloring a week before and I never heard the end of it until we were coloring the eggs.

Here is the finished project. Our wonderful creative side comes forth. We had a wonderful Easter and were so glad to be able to watch conference and listen to such wonderful inspirational messages that will help guide our lives. We are so grateful for Atoning sacrifice that our Savior has made for us and that we can celebrate his resurrection. We are grateful for our testimonies and hope we can do better to share them with others.

HAVING A BLAST IN WEST YELLOWSTONE

We had a wonderful time visiting friends in West Yellowstone. We decided to go sledding in the local park and they had made a sled park of sorts. It was really fun and not a big hill to walk up especially if you have to carry your children. Carlie absolutely loves to sled, she would cry if she wasn't constantly in a sled going down the hill. Clara cried a lot but then wanted to keep going down the hill. We still haven't figured her out. I think it is like skydiving for me. I really want to go but I am terrified and I am sure I would scream and look terrified the whole way down but then once I was done I would want to go again. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks to my friends Heather and Britt and their families for getting together. We had so much fun and can't wait to get together again.

We were so excited this year because the girls were starting to understand more and they were really excited. Santa set up the princess table so the girls could see it as soon as they got up. We were so excited that we woke the girls up at about 8am. Crazy Parents!!! I know. Here are so me pictures of the day

After our home we went over to the Brown's house and had Christmas with them. Then we had Christmas Dinner with the Brown's and we got to talk to my little brother Jimmy on the phone, he is on a mission in Fresno California.

Then we headed over to the Hancocks for more Christmas and Christmas dinner which is pizza.

This is the pictures of the fun game that we played. We were divided into groups of about 6 and then we were given 6 balloons that we had to blow up and the stuff them into the legs of a pair of nylons and then put them on one of our heads and then our team had to sing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. The first one done won. I was hilarious. The top picture is of my brother Shaun and the bottom is my cousin Evan and my Nephew Josh and me.

Every year we go to my Grandma Peterson's house for Christmas Eve. We have been going there since I can remember. This year we had the biggest turn out I think ever. We had my Aunt and Uncle Debbie and Leon and all of there kids. My Brothers Ryan, Shaun and their families and my brother Steven. My sister Celeste and her family and my parents. Also my Great Uncle Gordon. We had lots of fun.

So we missed Santa when he came to our Ward Christmas Party so we went and saw him at the Library. The girls just walked up to him and he held out his hand and picked Clara right up. Mrs. Clause picked up Carlie and put her on Santa's lap. I was so surprised. I was expecting tears. Here are a few pictures of the event. So we went to Leo's for lunch and then we had a party at night for presents and cake and ice cream. Both set of Grandparents came and Kristine and her kids and her husband Sam came and Cory and Shamane and their kids came. I attempted to make a Pooh bear cake and you will see why I said I attempted. At least I can saw I tried and that I am not gonna do that again. We had a fun time. It was like Christmas for the girls. They got new snow suits,coats,hats, gloves, and boots. So now they are ready for the snow to really fall. They got books, and a movie, and puzzles and new christmas dresses. Any ways now that that is over I can focus on Christmas.

We took the girls to Leo's Pizza place for their birthday. Lots of people came to join in the festivities. Both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Steven, some friends; Jason and Janette and their kids and Kristine and her kids. We ate pizza and the kids played on all of the toys.
I can't believe my babies are 2 years old. Time just goes on by and you don't even realize it.

So here are the buzzing bee's. We had such a long halloween holiday this year. It actually started last week with a ward trunk r treat. Then the had a party on this wednesday and then we went to the event at the snake river landing. Then we went to the trunk r treat at Grandma Hancock's ward and then we came over to the Brown's for Pizza and fun. Whew!!! I am tired. I know you probably can't see me very well but I am a Beehive ( I have bee's in my hair). Well we had lots of fun and the costumes definately were put to good use this year.

Here are the girls painting their pumpkins. They really enjoyed it. It is so cool seeing how different they are from each other. Clara mixed all of her paint together to make one color, and Carlie used one color at a time. Mike and I each carved a pumpkin. We had a good family home evening that monday night.

Well I am a slacker now when it comes to blogging. I just don't have the resources at hand to do it as often as I would like. So today no pictures, but I just wanted to talk about how grown up my girls are. They are talking all the time and repeat everything I say ( Guess I need to pay special attention to that). I brought home a potty the other day to just introduce it to them on their level and Carlie is attached to it. The first day she carried it around with her and she actually went pee in it. Since it has been a little slow but she has gone #1 and #2 in it. It is so exciting when you get to see your children accomplish things. Clara is a little afraid of the potty but I know she will catch on as they both learn from each other. I just love the fact that I do get to stay home, most of the time with them and get to see them grow up. Also I just wanted to add that my hubby left to day to go fishing in Salmon and I already miss him.

So this is kind of an old event but I wanted to share it anyways. We had such a good time camping but the last night we had a huge rain and thunderstorm and I thought we were gonna get swept away. The Thunder was so loud that I was even scared, but it didn't wake up the girls. We love camping and we have taking a few more trips this year that hopefully I will get around to blogging in he near future.

We had family pictures taken in March with Mike's family and then less than a week later I was at this home emporium store and they had lots of booths set up and one was of a photographer and she was waving al settin fees, so I had her take a few of the girls, and it just so happened that they were wearing the exact same thing that they were wearing in the family picture. And you will never believe it but Carlie actually smiled and so of course I had to buy them. So here are the cute girls.

So here are my baby girls all grown up. They actually like to use just about anything as a cell phone because our cell phones are off limits.The reason our cell phones are off limits is because they learned how to download ring tones on my phone. One day I heard this song that I had never heard before on my phone and so I looked and there were 2 rap songs as ringtones. I guess my girls are gonna be original gangsters. They mostly use the remotes. It is hilarious. They actually make noises like they are having a conversation and then we will ack them who they are talking to and they look at the phone and then either put it back to their ear or hand it to us. This first one is Clara looking quite natural. And here is my Carlie girl. It was hard catching her in the right position because she likes to walk and talk.

So Carlie has mastered walking. She walked all over her G &G Brown's house on New Years day. she just kept walking in circle with Clara following close behind. Clara hasn't quite mastered it yet. But she is very determined. They both are very determined. I am amazed at how every time they fall down they just get right back up again. I wish i had such determination today. Yesterday at church Carlie kept escaping the Primary room(which is where I was) and walking down the hall . She made it all the way to the end. She found an open primary door and went inside to join the group. It just happened to be the Sunbeams. A little boy Drake took her hand and kissed it and then gave her a hug and she gave him a huge hug and wouldn't let go. it was the cutest I wish I had a picture of it. Anyways I just thought I would let you know thaty my baby's are growing up too fast for me.

The Day has finally come. The girls are 1 year old. I can't believe it. We had a birthday party for them on the 7th so everybody could come. We had a blast. I found these party hats in a box and so I made everyone wear one. We decided instead of giving our girls sugar shock we would give them Carrot Cake Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting(Which I made myself for scratch) Yeah for me!!! We had both Grandma and Grandpa's and Uncle Steven and Ryan and Cousin Diana and Some friends of our The Wells. The Girls liked the cupcakes, but they didn't make that big of a mess cause the frosting was white and you can't really see them in these pictures. Anyways I still can't believe my babies are 1.

So I was busy putting Carlie to sleep and I came out and look what I found. She has so many teeth that she was able to bite off pieces of this candy cane and some got stuck on her nose. I had to laugh. Then I saw the couch, it is a good thing we have a sheet over it so I can just toss it in the wash. I should have taken a picture of her face after I took the candy cane away. It wasn't as pretty.

year. It seems like we had a longer fall this year which I am so thankful for. I think fall colors are one of God's greatest creations. This pictures mostly represent Idaho Falls, but there are a couple from the mountains. Anyways I just wanted to share this beauty to all. ENJOY!!!!

Halloween

Well we had a great halloween. I got creative and brave and decided to make costumes for the girls this year. This is funny because I really don't know how to sew nor do I have a sewing machine. But I over heard a friend of mine talking about a sewing project she was working on and I asked for her help and as you can see from the pictures she gave it. I actually really enjoy the process. I learned a lot about seam ripping. (ha!ha!) I am looking forward to making more projects in the future and already have things planned for Christmas. Well even though daddy had to work on Halloween we still had a great time. Mike's family has a tradition to get together and have pizza so we did that and then went trick-r-treating down at the River. They were having an event down there sponsored by the local business and the single adults. I saw some of the cutest costumes. I will have to remember for next year. Here are a few pictures.

So we decided to take the girls to the greenbelt to feed the ducks. Well there were alot more geese then ducks but we had a great time. I would give the girls little pieces of bread to see if they would throw them or to see if I could help them throw them, but instead every piece went into their mouths. It was pretty hilarious. And poor Carlie just doesn't have much luck with animals. The girls were sitting in the stroller (Carlie in front) and a dog ran towards the birds and so they started to scatter and fly away, well one of the geese was right next to Carlie and the wing smacked Carlie in her face. But other then that I think we all had a good time.

It was a free zoo day and so we took advantage of it. My mom and Ryan and his boys Josh and Peter came with us. We decided to get there as soon as it opened so we could beat the rush, because it was a Saturday. We did good because the crowds showed up about the time we were leaving. We got to watch them feed the penguins. And in the picture with the girls in the stroller, the monkey was watching them. I just love being able to stay at home with my girls so I can take advantage of days like this.

We got to visit Hyde, the newest edition to our family. My sister Celeste delivered him on Sept 3. he weighted 8 lb 12 oz and was 22 inches long. He has tons of dark silky hair and he even has hair all over his back. He is so precious. He made the sweetest little squealing noises. The girls loved him. They wanted to touch him all the time. Our Garden

Here is a picture of our hard work this summer. Don't look to close or you'll see that we didn't work as hard as we should have ( the weeds!!). We had a very prosperous garden this year. We were able to get a plot in our local community garden which is just down the street from our apt. I have already canned around 40 pints of green beans. The other day I had a salad and was so proud of myself that everything in it was from the garden ie, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, green pepper and carrot (but that wasn't from the garden yet.) Mike did most of the weeding since the girls didn't like to sit in the stroller while I pulled weeds and there wasn't anywhere for them to get out and play.

Grandpa was called up on stage to help the ventriliquist with his act and Ed did a great job. He just fit right in. The guy told him that when he touched his shoulder to open his mouth. He was a good sport and after it was done he said he was't scared and had a good time.

We went to the Twin Falls fair and we took the girls to the petting zoo and they like to pet the animals, Clara didn't like to touch the goats, She would reach out her hand and then pull it back. She would squeal out loud when she touched one. It was so cute. Carlie was a little more apprehensive. But over all we think they had a great time. I really want them to get used to animals.

Clara was so tired that instead of waiting for me to finish feeding Carlie she just put her head down and went to sleep. I wish they would do this more often. Less time for me to have to spend time rocking them ( even though I love holding them) I just can't all the time.
